Four teenagers have been charged after a police car was rammed by an allegedly stolen vehicle in Brisbane’s southeast.
At about 9am on Saturday Queensland Police officers saw the allegedly stolen blue Mitsubishi ASX near Finucane Rd and Allenby Rd in Alexandra Hills.
One officer approached the vehicle while it was stopped in traffic near the intersection of Finucane Rd and Cambridge Drive.
Shocking footage has revealed the driver’s dangerous attempt to evade police, during which they rammed the car into vehicles both in front of and behind the Mitsubishi.
While one officer attempted to gain access to the vehicle another two remained inside the police car, with the driving officer pulling in front of the vehicle as it attempted to drive forward and escape.
Caught between the police car and an adjacent concrete truck, the driver of the allegedly stolen car tries to push in between the two vehicles and ends up pinned with both wheels on the left side of the car off the ground.
Four teens inside the car were taken into custody while both officers inside the police car were unharmed.
